21-year-old North Texas man killed in motorcycle crash in Mansfield, police say

A 21-year-old North Texas man died Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a car in Mansfield.

A crash involving a car and a motorcycle resulted in the death of a 21-year-old North Texas man on Sunday. Mansfield police responded to the accident around 2:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of FM 157.

The motorcycle was traveling northbound on FM 157, while the car was heading southbound. As the driver of the car tried to make a left turn onto Moore Road, the motorcycle collided with the right passenger side of the vehicle. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the motorcyclist unconscious on the ground. Immediate life-saving measures were attempted, and the rider was transported to Mansfield Methodist Hospital.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at 3:09 p.m. He has been identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner as Ajani Devonn Webb, a resident of Mansfield.

The driver and passengers of the other vehicle were treated at the scene by Mansfield medics and were released without serious injuries.

The Mansfield Police Department continues to investigate the accident. Authorities asked anyone with information regarding the crash to contact Officer M. Owens, the assigned accident investigator, at michael.owens@mansfieldtexas.gov.
