This popular Girl Scout cookie is out. What Happened? Here’s when selling season starts
When Girl Scout cookie season begins in January, one less option will be available.
The Girl Scouts of USA announced last week that the Raspberry Rally cookies has been discontinued starting in the 2024 selling season, according to CNN. The Raspberry Rally was introduced last year to facilitate the Girl Scouts e-commerce sales and entrepreneurial skills, and was sold exclusively online.
Buyers went cookie crazy for the new treat, with some Girl Scout chapters selling out within days. Resellers jumped in the entrepreneurial fray, raising the price of one package from $5 to $30.
A sister cookie to Thin Mints, the Raspberry Rally had a similar chocolate coating but with a berry-flavored interior.
“Last year, we were excited to introduce Raspberry Rally cookies as part of our pilot online sales strategy, however, to mitigate potential supply challenges and to simplify the program for our girls and volunteers, Raspberry Rally cookies will not be available for the 2024 Girl Scout Cookie season,” the Girl Scouts of USA said in a statement.
