No you weren’t dreaming, some parts of North Texas did see rain fall from the sky yesterday.

After recording 110 degrees on both Friday and Saturday, the weather cooled off slightly to 101 degrees on Sunday. It was in that dip in temperature where parts of the Metroplex saw rain.

DFW International Airport, however, only recorded trace amounts of rainfall on Sunday, which is any quantity below 0.01 inches, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport fared better, recording 0.18 inches of rain on Sunday. Just south of Alliance is Fort Worth’s Meacham International Airport, which only saw trace amounts.

But the biggest winner of the rainfall derby over North Texas on Sunday was Mineral Wells, recording a staggering 0.75 inches of rain at its airport. For the month, Mineral Wells has recorded 0.79 inches of rain.

North Texans can expect a slightly cooler week as temperatures are expected to stay in the mid to upper 90 degrees. Rain chances are in the forecast for central Texas this week, but nothing up north near the Metroplex, according to the NWS.
