Driver killed when SUV veers off North Texas highway bridge, falls onto road, police say
The driver of an SUV was killed early Sunday when he veered off a bridge on Texas 114 and the vehicle fell onto the roadway on North Kimball Avenue, according to Southlake police.
The man, who was the only person in the Nissan SUV at the time of the fatal accident, was driving west on State Highway 114 just before 1 a.m., police said in a news release. Witnesses told police the driver swerved for an unknown reason while crossing the overpass.
The 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as Joseph Kane.
