After explosion, fire erupts at a North Texas industrial paint plant; 1 person injured
An explosion and fire erupted early Monday at a paint plant in Garland, WFAA-TV reported.
The cause of the explosion was not clear. A Garland Fire Department spokesperson did not immediately answer questions about the matter.
The explosion occurred about 1:15 a.m. at the Sherwin-Williams plant at South Shiloh Road and Forest Lane, according to the WFAA report attributed to a company statement. The plant produces industrial coatings and resins.
One employee suffered a minor injury, was taken to a hospital and released, WFAA reported.
