A “Yellowstone” spinoff show is looking to hire behind-the-scenes workers for filming around North Texas this summer.

“Lawmen: Bass Reeves” tells the story of Bass Reeves, the first black deputy U.S. marshal west of the Mississippi River. The limited series will be directed by Taylor Sheridan and stars David Oyelowo as the titular real-life lawman.

The show has been filming in and around North Texas since January and is currently looking for production assistants to work on the new series. While the job is behind the camera, its still important nonetheless.

A production assistant’s responsibilities can be anything from distributing paperwork and running errands, to managing crowds and registering extras, according to the Texas Film Commission.

“Bass Reeves” is looking for both on-set and office production assistants with paid positions available daily over May and June. The application form can be found here and asks for age, identification, availability and other details.

The lawman show is the latest show from Sheridan in his expansive “Yellowstone” television universe. The other two “Yellowstone” spinoffs — “1883” and “1923” — are available on Paramount+.

Official word broke in early May that “Yellowstone” would end in its current form after the second half of season 5 airs this fall. However, a sequel show is reportedly in the works and will feature characters from the flagship series.

“Lawmen: Bass Reeves” is expected to debut on Paramount+ later this year.
