Search finds nothing after bomb threat forces Carroll High School evacuation in Southlake

Tri-City Herald

A bomb threat on Monday morning forced authorities to evacuate Carroll High School in Southlake for about an hour, but nothing was found in a search of the school, police said.

Students and staff members who were taken off campus as a precaution returned and resumed their classes.

Southlake police made the announcement about the threat just after 8:30 a.m. Monday.

About 9:30 a.m., Carroll Independent School District said in a tweet that “Southlake DPS has given the ALL CLEAR for our CHS students and staff to return to class and resume their day. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we implemented our safety protocols. The safety of our Dragons is always our top priority!”

Police had asked residents to avoid the area, 800 North White Chapel Blvd., as an investigation was underway.
