Officials identify Fort Worth woman killed after her car was hit by SUV on city street
Officials have identified a 25-year-old Fort Worth resident as the woman killed Saturday when her car was hit by a sport utility vehicle on Miller Avenue.
Fort Worth police said they responded to a major traffic accident, and officers later reported they were investigating it as an intoxication assault, according to a police incident report.
No one has been arrested in the case as of Monday.
The woman who died has been identified as Serenity Renee Thomas, according to officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Thomas was pronounced dead at 12:43 p.m. Saturday at John Peter Smith Hospital, shortly after the accident.
Police responded to the accident just after 11 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of Miller Ave. in east Fort Worth.
Thomas was driving a Dodge Dart southbound on Miller Avenue when her car was hit by a white Kia Borrego, which had been northbound on the street, police said.
The Borrego drove into oncoming traffic, police said.
Both drivers were taken to hospitals, and Thomas later died.
