A Dallas man has been arrested in connection with a weekend road rage shooting that left a 21-year-old woman dead in Carrollton, authorities said Wednesday.

A Dallas man is accused of firing shots that killed a 21-year-old woman early Saturday in a road rage shooting on a Carrollton street, police said Wednesday.

Carrollton police identified the suspect as Shardrel Damon Webb, 25, of Dallas. Webb is facing a murder charge as he is accused of firing the weapon that killed Aurimar Iturriago of Venezuela.

Webb was arrested Saturday shortly after the shooting. He was in the Dallas County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of $300,000 bond.

Carrollton police responded to 3535 Country Square Drive just after midnight Saturday when a 911 caller reported a woman had been shot.

Iturriago was a backseat passenger in a white Nissan that became involved in a dispute with the occupants of a black Volkswagen Jetta, police said. The driver of the Nissan told officers that a man in the Jetta was following him while firing shots at the vehicle.

Iturriago was pronounced dead at the scene.
