Fort Worth police shot and killed a fugitive Tuesday in Parker County after the man rammed a police vehicle and raised a gun toward an officer.

The Texas Rangers identified the man as Raymundo Duran III, 30.

Fort Worth officers in the fugitive unit and members of the U.S. Marshal Service fugitive task force were looking for Duran on a domestic violence felony warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They found him in rural Parker County, about five miles north of Weatherford off Zion Hill Road, and approached him, Fort Worth police said.

Duran was driving a vehicle and refused to stop, the Rangers said. He rammed a police vehicle, which disabled his own vehicle. Duran then raised a firearm “in a threatening manner” toward an officer, who fired and killed him the officer fired on him, killing him, according to the release.

No other injuries were reported.

The Texas Rangers is investigating the use of force.
