Irving police located a missing 16-year-old girl with a learning disability Tuesday evening after being reported missing over the weekend.

Police said Tammy Guadalupe Ferguson ran away from her home in the 2300 block of Cartwright Street between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Because of her learning disability, police said, she can get confused when walking around and others were concerned for her safety.

Police posted an update around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday that Ferguson was located in the Hurst/Euless area. She was brought back to Irving and reunited safely with her family, according to the update.
