Body of 17-year-old who had been shot left on Forest Hill roadway, authorities say
A 17-year-old found dead on a Forest Hill roadway died from a gunshot wound to his head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website.
Officials with the medical examiner’s office have ruled the death of Destin Carson a homicide.
Carson was pronounced dead at 9:57 p.m. Sunday on the roadway in Forest Hill, according to the website.
The 17-year-old died in the 7200 block of Stonewall Road.
Forest Hill police responded to a 911 caller just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday, reporting that a male was unconscious, bleeding and lying on the roadway.
First responders arrived and determined that the teen was dead.
No one has been arrested in the case, Forest Hill police said Tuesday.

Carson was known as DJ, according to an obituary. An “hour of reflection” is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Nov. 21 at Roderick D Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 2811 Galleria Drive in Arlington. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Nov. 22 at Greater Love Baptist Church, 3712 Collin St. in Fort Worth.
