Euless man critically injured in wreck on Airport Freeway near Fort Worth

A 36-year-old Euless man was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital on Wednesday in critical condition after his red Ford Fusion went under the rear deck of a box truck.

Officers were dispatched to the wreck shortly after 8 a.m. in the 5100 block of Airport Freeway, according to a Haltom City Police Department news release.

Witness told police that traffic on the highway slowed because of a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder of the roadway, the release said. As the box truck slowed, the Ford crashed into the rear of the box truck, police said.

The two occupants in the box truck were uninjured. No charges are expected to be filed as a result of this collision, police said.
