A man witnesses say was speeding on Interstate 30 early Friday was pulled from his burning car by a passing motorist, according to authorities.
The man was traveling eastbound in the 4200 block of Interstate 30 about 1:45 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the road, hit two light poles, flipped, and then caught on fire, police said.
The driver was pulled from the vehicle by the passerby and taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for burn injuries, police said.
The man is expected to survive his injuries, according to police.
