Woman killed while crossing interstate in Burleson, police say
A woman was killed after being hit by several cars while crossing an interstate in Burleson on Thursday morning, police said.
At about 6:30 a.m., the woman, who was in her 30s, was trying to cross I-35W southbound on foot. She had been staying at the Days Inn along the interstate.
Police said the woman, whose identity they did not release, may have had drugs or alcohol in her system. She also may have been dealing with mental health issues.
The interstate was closed until about 11:45 a.m. Thursday while investigators were on scene.
