Authorities in Grapevine reported that the body of a man who went missing in the Lake Grapevine on Saturday was recovered on Sunday afternoon.

The Grapevine Fire Department said divers recovered the body of the victim at 3:35 p.m.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the man as 38-year-old Velma Venkatramreddy of Irving, Texas.

Grapevine Fire Department divers had been working with the Texas Game Wardens, Flower Mound Fire Department and Police Department and other authorities in Grapevine during the search.

The fire department reported that a few people were out in Grapevine Lake Saturday when Venkatramreddy jumped from a pontoon boat and never resurfaced.

The location was at a pier behind a residence in the 3100 block of Lakewood Lane in Flower Mound, according to the medical examiner's report. It did not list a cause of death.
