Two Tarrant County men arrested in fatal Denton robbery

Two Tarrant County men were arrested this week as Denton authorities continue to investigate a home invasion robbery before Christmas in which two men were killed.

Denton police have released little information about the robbery gone bad, other than that on Dec. 21, the suspects “forced their way” into an apartment at 1541 Meadow St. where two handguns were later recovered, one from a victim and one from a suspect.

Police have said two people in the apartment were wounded.

The two men killed were robbery suspects. One was Terrance Tusan, 22, a former Euless Trinity High School running back who was visiting his mother in Arlington on college Christmas break. Tusan was fatally shot in the head and neck, the Tarrant County medical examiner said. Jakobi Gipson, 18, also died of multiple gunshots. His residence has not been reported.

On Wednesday morning, Lloyd Fraction, 21, of Arlington surrendered to Denton police, according to officer Orlando Hinojosa, a Denton police spokesman. Fraction was wanted on an aggravated robbery warrant. He was in the Denton City Jail on Wednesday night with bail set at $25,000.

Rashar Aikens, 19, was arrested in Fort Worth on Tuesday afternoon on an aggravated robbery warrant. He was in the Denton jail with bail set at $100,000. However, he will be kept in jail because of a probation violation warrant that was issued for his arrest on Dec. 9 in another case.

Tarrant County court records show that Aikens was convicted of a misdemeanor in March 2013 for evading arrest and sentenced to 15 days in jail. On that day he was also sentenced to two years of deferred-adjudication probation in the burglary of a motor vehicle in Arlington.

Tusan had played football for three seasons at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
