Arlington police are seeking information on the assault of a 40-year-old man in a parking lot outside of AT&T Stadium during the Cotton Bowl.

Police were called to the 900 block of AT&T Way, near the stadium’s parking lot 4, about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 10 to investigate a reported fight.

When they arrived, officers found the 40-year-old man lying on the ground with severe injuries, police said.

Witnesses told police that the man and a friend had been involved in an argument with two unknown people, and the argument escalated to a fight.

During the fight, the attackers punched the victim, causing him to fall and hit his head, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries and has since been released.

Arlington police conducted a follow-up investigation but have been unable to identify any suspects, officials said in a statement Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Police hope that someone may have witnessed the fight or even taken cellphone video or images.
