A 56-year-old man died in a fatal crash in Arlington on Thursday night, police say.

A 56-year-old man was killed on Thursday after his car struck a brick structure in southeast Arlington, police said.

The two-car crash was at the intersection of Cravens Park Drive and Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard around 7:35 p.m.

A 2012 Lexus sedan was turning left onto Cravens Park Drive when it was hit by a 2017 Mercedes E43. The Lexus spun out and crashed into a brick wall.

The Lexus driver was taken to a hospital and later died from his injuries, police said.

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the collision. The driver of the Lexus wasn’t wearing a seat belt, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not yet publicly identified the victim.

The driver of the Mercedes was taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

No charges had been filed as of Friday.
