Long Pham and Albert Parra are headed to runoff in Arlington City Council race

Long Pham and Albert Parra are headed for a June 18 runoff for the District 6 seat on the Arlington City Council, according to unofficial results early Sunday with all vote centers reporting. Bowie Hogg won District 7.

District 6

Pham won 46.49% of the vote to Para’s 35.82%

Pham said keeping police well-funded and neighborhoods safe, keeping streets in good repair and working to lower property taxes in Arlington are his top three priorities, should be be elected to the council.

Para said economic development, housing and safe roads and neighborhoods are his top priorities.

Chris Dobson received 8.61% of vote and Joshua Taylor 9.08%.

District 7

Hogg won reelection with 55.05% of the vote. Cyndi Golden finished with 44.95%

Hogg said his three priorities are “smart growth for the future of neighborhood integrity,” investing in public safety and prioritizing small business in the city.
