Repairs are expected to be completed next week on the Texas 360 Tollway which was damaged by a fiery crash on Tuesday.

The crash was caused by the driver of a PT Cruiser who stopped near the Camp Wisdom Road exit and began backing up. Several vehicles swerved to miss the PT Cruiser as it inched back in reverse, video released by the North Texas Tollway Authority shows.

A dump truck took evasive action to miss the PT Cruiser but struck a wall and caught fire. A Ford truck that was traveling south also hit the PT Cruiser, according to Lt. Lonny Haschel, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.

No one was seriously injured, Haschel said.

The driver of the PT Cruiser, Simbiat Adedeji, 47, of Arlington, will receive a ticket for interfering with public safety and for not having liability insurance, according to Haschel.

The wreck damaged the tollway, which opened May 11, at the Camp Wisdom Road exit and access has been reduced to one lane at that spot, said Michael Rey, North Texas Tollway Authority spokesman. Repairs to the tollway are expected to be completed during the upcoming week, Rey said.
