Tarrant County’s new COVID-19 cases drop, but 5 more deaths reported Thursday

Tarrant County reported 211 new coronavirus cases and five deaths on Thursday.

The latest deaths include two Fort Worth men in their 50s, a Mansfield woman in her 70s, a Grapevine woman in her 80s, and an Arlington man in his 90s. All had underlying health conditions, according to officials.

The county reported 460 cases on Wednesday, the most since Aug. 18.

Tarrant County has reported a total of 43,726 COVID-19 cases, including 591 deaths and an estimated 38,491 recoveries.

A previous report that listed a death in Haslet has been corrected. The person was a resident of Collin County, not Tarrant County.
