Tarrant County reports most COVID cases in 2 weeks Wednesday; 4 more deaths in Azle

Tarrant County reported 460 coronavirus cases and five deaths on Wednesday.

It’s the most cases reported by the county since 411 on Aug. 25.

The latest deaths include Azle women in their 80s, 90s, and over 100, an Azle man in his 70s, and a Bedford woman in her 80s. Four of the deaths occurred in July and one was in August. All had underlying health conditions.

Of the eight COVID-related deaths reported in Azle the past two days, most are from July or early August, according to Azle Fire Chief Will Scott. At least three of the Azle residents were in a healthcare facility of some kind. There have been 14 COVID deaths reported in the Tarrant County portion of Azle. Parts of the town are also in Parker County.

Tarrant County has confirmed 43,515 COVID-19 cases, including 587 deaths and at least 38,215 recoveries.
