Tarrant County reports 444 new coronavirus cases but no deaths Sunday

Tarrant County reported 444 new cases of coronavirus Sunday, the largest increase since May 9, when a prison reported 481 cases.

The new report brings the total number of confirmed infections in the county to 8,955.

The largest increases were in Arlington, with 26 new cases in the 76010 zip code and 21 new cases in the 76014 zip code.

At least 11 zip codes had increases of 10 or more cases reported Sunday.

The total number of infections includes 208 deaths, with no increase from Saturday to Sunday, and at least 4,160 recoveries. The county does not require individuals to report when they have recovered from the virus.

Of the 208 pandemic-related deaths in the county, 120 have been in Fort Worth.

The county reports 275 hospital beds were occupied with COVID patients Sunday, 4.6% of all hospital beds in the county, and that hospitals have 452 ventilators available. There are 1,929 hospital beds open across the county out of 5,975 total.
