Tarrant County nearing 200 coronavirus deaths, 6,000 total cases

Tarrant County reported 122 new coronavirus cases and an additional death on Friday.

The latest death is a Fort Worth man in his 50s with underlying health conditions.

Tarrant County has confirmed a total of 5,985 COVID-19 cases, including 174 deaths and 2,518 recoveries.

Of the 174 pandemic deaths in the county, 106 have been in Fort Worth.

As of Friday, 196 of the county’s hospital beds were occupied by confirmed COVID-19 patients. More than 2,000 beds and 400 ventilators were unoccupied.
