Tarrant County reports 5 coronavirus deaths, 102 new cases

Tarrant County reported five more coronavirus deaths and 102 new cases on Thursday.

The latest COVID-19 deaths include three Fort Worth residents, including a man in his 40s, a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 90s. The deaths also include a Bedford man in his 40s and a Mansfield man in his 80s.

Four of the five had underlying health conditions, according to officials.

The county has confirmed 5,863 COVID-19 cases, including 173 deaths and 2,474 recoveries.

According to data from Tarrant County Public Health, since May 1 there has been a coronavirus death reported every day but Saturday.

Of the 173 pandemic-related deaths, there have been 105 in Fort Worth, 18 in Arlington, 13 in Keller, five each in Benbrook and Grapevine, four each in Bedford and Mansfield, three in rural parts of the county, two each in Azle, Forest Hill, Haltom City, Hurst, and one each in Grand Prairie, Kennedale, Lakeside, Southlake, Watauga, White Settlement, River Oaks, Sansom Park.
