Denton County confirms 6 more coronavirus cases for a total of 36 across 18 cities

Denton County confirmed six more coronavirus cases Monday for a total of 36 across 18 cities.

Two of the new cases are the first in The Colony and another is the first in Highland Village. Trophy Club also has a second confirmed case.

Of the 36 cases, 25 are in home quarantine and 11 were or have been hospitalized. There are 21 males and 15 females with the virus. Eighteen contracted it through travel, 12 were through local transmission and four were in contact with a known case. Two cases are still pending an investigation.

The county has announced stricter public limitations beginning at midnight Monday. No more than 10 people can gather in one location.

There are 12 patients age 60 or older, 13 patients between 40 and 59, and 11 patients between 20 and 39.
