Dallas County confirms two more coronavirus deaths, 24 new cases

Dallas County confirmed two more deaths and 24 new coronavirus cases Monday.

There now have been four COVID-19-related deaths in the county and 155 confirmed cases.

Both deaths reported Monday were men in their 60s and Dallas residents who had been critically ill in a local hospital. One had high-risk, chronic health conditions and one didn’t.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the two Dallas County residents who lost their lives to COVID-19 since Sunday’s posting,” Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said in a news release. The ‘Stay Home Stay Safe’ order will save lives but it takes all of us.”

Residents of Dallas County have been ordered by Judge Jenkins to stay home except for work and essential errands effective at 11:59 p.m. Monday.
