Tarrant County now has eight confirmed coronavirus cases

Two more cases of the coronavirus in Tarrant County have been confirmed, according to officials. This brings the total confirmed cases in the county to eight.

One of the new cases is a person who traveled out of state. The travel history of the other case is pending.

“Both of these cases have been isolated at home after developing symptoms,” Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja said in a release. “Because of HIPAA laws regarding the confidentiality of health information, we are not allowed to provide any specific details about this patient.”

There are now over 7,000 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus in the U.S.

Tarrant County, Fort Worth and Arlington will hold a joint news conference at 3 p.m. Wednesday that will be live-streamed at tarrantcounty.com
