This 14,500-acre West Texas ranch with gun room just sold for ... how much?!?
The economic downtown apparently wasn’t enough to slow down the sale of one of West Texas’ most prestigious hunting ranches.
The Caloosa Ranch in Aspermont, about 200 miles west of Fort Worth, recently sold for $13.2 million. The 14,500-acre ranch known for its luxurious five-bedroom lodge, a gun room, formal dining area and covered porches, was on the market for just four months.
“The quick sale of Caloosa Ranch reflects not only the size and quality of this impressive facility, but also Whitetail Properties’ specialized experience and knowledge in marketing rural properties,” said Joey Bellington, a land specialist with Whitetail Properties Real Estate, which handled the transaction.
The name of the buyer wasn’t disclosed.
The Caloosa ranch habitat includes whitetail deer, quail, turkey and waterfowl.
In all, Whitetail Properties sold 12 Texas ranch properties totaling $27 million during the last week of July, company officials said. The company, known for selling properties that appeal to outdoors enthusiasts, was founded in 2007 and operates in 35 states.
