This North Texas chocolate shop known for colorful bonbons is closing
Kate Wieser Chocolate, known for its seasonal bonbons painted like colorful gems, just announced it will close all of its shops for good.
“After 12 years of creating beautiful chocolates and making holiday memories, my financial partners and I have decided to close our doors,” Kate Weiser Chocolate announced in an Instagram post on Monday, April 13. “Our business is highly seasonal, labor-intensive and over the last few years has required heavy financial lift to continue operating.”
The small business opened in 2014 in Trinity Groves in Dallas. In 2018, Fort Worth got its own Kate Wieser store in Clearfork.
Also in 2018, and again in 2025, Kate Weiser’s hot chocolate snowman, known as “Carl,” was listed as one of Oprah’s Favorite Things. Luckily, Carl the Snowman will still be sold in Central Market for the 2026 holiday season.
When will Kate Weiser Chocolate stores close?
Online ordering for Kate Weiser Chocolate is no longer available, because it is sold out.
The Fort Worth and Grapevine locations will have their last days on Friday, April 17. You can find Kate Weiser Chocolate in Clearfork at 5182 Marathon Ave., open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
The Northpark and Trinity Groves locations in Dallas will remain open until the last piece of chocolate is sold, according to the Instagram post.
