H-E-B’s Super Bowl ad will focus on this iconic Texas product
One of the most coveted grocery items in Texas will be the subject of a new Super Bowl ad.
H-E-B has been producing commercials for the Big Game for two decades. One of its earliest ads saw Emmet Smith shop and dance around an Addison store.
The San Antonio-based company’s ad for Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is all about its tortillas.
A few short teasers have been released ahead of the 60-second ad, which show a baby crawling and reaching towards a stack of buttery tortillas. Another of one of the teasers shows the tortilla package reflected into the baby’s eye.
Check out the teasers below.
The tortillas are popular items. Last summer, a teen went viral on TikTok after bringing 200 of the tortillas on a plane in Texas.
H-E-B’s Super Bowl ad
H-E-B’s ad will air between the third and fourth quarter of the game.
The spot was produced by Dallas-based Plot Twist Creativity, and is the company’s 10th Super Bowl ad in five years.
“This year’s work for H-E-B is especially meaningful because it reflects a deep, trusted partnership and commitment to creating work that reflects the love Texas has for H-E-B, and vice versa,” said Christopher Smith, Chief Creative Officer and Partner at Plot Twist Creativity. “And we got to add some celebrity star power as well, which is always fun.”
H-E-B has rapidly grown its footprint in Tarrant County over the years.
The company has a location in north Fort Worth in the Alliance area, and is planning a second Cowtown store in the Walsh area along Interstate 20. A Mansfield store opened in 2023, and a location near the Bedford-Euless line will open later this year.
H-E-B recently purchased land in south Fort Worth. The company also bought land in Wise County last year.
