More than 250 apartments coming to Harmon Road in far north Fort Worth

Another apartment complex is coming to busy Harmon Road near U.S. 287 in far north Fort Worth.

A permit application with the city says “Harmon Road Apartments” will have four buildings with a total of 252 units at 1701 E. Harmon Road. The 14-acre site is on the south side of U.S. 287, not far from the traffic circle at the exit ramps. The land is surrounded by single-family home subdivisions.

Records show the project is estimated at $42 million and is owned by Davis Development, based in suburban Atlanta. The firm’s portfolio includes seven multifamily complexes in North Texas and the Houston area, including McKinney, Prosper and Allen.

A filing with the state says construction will start this spring and wrap up in August 2027.

The U.S. 287 corridor in northwest Fort Worth is one of the fastest growing in Tarrant County, to include thousands of new homes, a recently opened Kroger Marketplace, a $200 million expansion of Bonds Ranch Road, and several new retail developments on Harmon Road (including this one with a wine bar, which is near a new Indian restaurant).
