Global tech company wants to invest $687 million in Fort Worth, creating 800 jobs

A tech manufacturer could be bringing hundreds of new jobs to Fort Worth.

Wistron Corporation, a Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer, is considering building two support facilities for supercomputer manufacturing in far north Fort Worth, near the Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport. The proposed sites are 15200 Heritage Parkway and 14601 Mobility Way.

The facilities could add 888 full-time jobs with minimum average salaries of $63,000 by the end of 2026. Denton County is also considering an incentives package for the project.

The city of Fort Worth is considering a 10-year tax abatement for the project, the terms of which could vary depending on if both facilities are built. If the City Council approves the incentives package, Wistron would be required to invest at least $687 million in the project, in addition to adding hundreds of jobs.

The city could receive $10.6 million in new tax revenue over a 10-year period if both facilities are built. If the project moves forward, construction could begin later this summer.

City Council will vote on the incentives package on June 24.

Wistron is building a number of U.S. plants to make AI servers for Nvidia, a leading AI company. Wistron’s revenue was over $33.3 billion in 2024.
