New health-focused grocery store to open in Weatherford this summer
A $5 million Sprouts Farmers Market will open in Weatherford this summer.
The Phoenix-based grocer focuses on fresh, natural and organic products. Sprouts operates 480 stores across 25 states, with 65 locations in Texas.
Fort Worth has a few stores in Overton Park Plaza at 4650 S.W. Loop 820; off Camp Bowie at 6300 Waverly Way; and in north Fort Worth at 4525 W. Bailey Boswell Road.
While Weatherford and the Hudson Oaks area has a wide variety of grocery options – Albertson’s, Aldi, Costco, H-E-B, Walmart, Target and even a Town Talk Foods discount grocer – Sprouts will provide a different, health and wellness approach to grocery shopping.
When will Sprouts open?
The Sprouts will open off Interstate 20 at 317 Center Point Road in Weatherford.
The 23,000 square foot store was built from the ground up, across the street from the Costco.
The official opening day will be on July 31. Grand opening details will be released closer to the date.
Is Sprouts hiring?
Sprouts Weatherford will provide 93 full- and part-time jobs to the area. The company is looking to hire deli, grocery and meat clerks, cashiers, managers and administrative coordinators.
“Sprouts’ healthy approach to grocery shopping means potential team members should share a passion for healthy eating and the fresh, natural and organic products available throughout the store,” Sprouts detailed in a press release.
A hiring event will take place over a few days at the SpringHill Suites Weatherford Willow Park.
