North Texans will soon have a new way to get to Spain.

American Airlines has announced new flights from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Barcelona for next summer.

The daily route will begin June 5. A Boeing 777-200 aircraft will be used for the approximately 11-hour flight. Tickets for the service be available for purchase starting Sunday.

The Fort Worth-based carrier also announced new nonstop flights to Denmark, Italy and France from Philadelphia.

“American is thrilled to add three new European destinations,” Brian Znotins, American’s senior vice president of network and schedule planning, said in a release. “New service from Philadelphia and expanded trans-Atlantic service from Chicago and Dallas-Fort Worth will offer customers convenient one-stop access from more than 200 unique destinations across the U.S. to Europe next summer.”

Flights to Madrid already leave twice daily out of DFW through American Airlines partnership with Iberia Airways of Spain. Service from North Texas to the Caribbean and Latin America is also expected to ramp up this winter.

Throughout the summer, American has operated 12 daily flight services to Europe from DFW, including Rome, Paris, London-Heathrow, Amsterdam, Dublin and Frankfurt.
