The battle of drive-thru coffee stands wages on.

Another chain is making its way into Fort Worth: 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee, which is going up at 5001 N. Tarrant Parkway, near Park Vista Boulevard. The company, which brands itself as high-energy with cheerful staff, boasts that it is “so much more than just a coffee stand” by “cultivating kindness and joy with every drink.”

The fast-growing company that started in Northwest Arkansas already has two locations in the region, in Mansfield and Grand Prairie, that held grand openings in December.

The menu’s drinks include the Blondie (caramel and vanilla breve), the Brunette (hazelnut and caramel mocha), the Smooth 7 (white chocolate and Irish cream breve) and the Cinnamon Roll. It also has flavored energy drink, teas, smoothies and shakes.

“We’re redefining the drive-thru experience with a purpose-driven culture and deliciously imaginative drinks like you’ve never tasted before,” the 7 Brew website says. “Revolutionary experiences with people are why we exist and why we will continue to exist. These experiences start and end with our amazing team, and we believe the best is yet to come.”

7 Brews has nearly 50 locations in 14 states, with nearly half of them opening in the past year.

In a 2017 interview, co-founder Ron Crume talked about his ambitions for the company, inspired by Dutch Bros. Coffee from his home state of Oregon. He had discovered Northwest Arkansas while working there as a builder in the 1990s.

“We want to be an national chain,” Crume told the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. “And we want our home to be here in Northwest Arkansas.”

Dallas-Fort Worth commuters have seen other drive-thru coffee stands pop up all over Dallas-Fort Worth. The newest Scooter’s Coffee is in Watauga, serving the area around North Richland Hills and northeast Fort Worth.

And when a new Dutch Bros Coffee opened on West Berry Street last January, cars wrapped around the building.
