Freezing rain could hit North Texas this week, NWS says. See when

There’s now the potential for light freezing rain Tuesday night as dangerous cold moves through the DFW metroplex next week, officials with the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures will drop into the 20s and teens Tuesday night, with highs in the 30s Wednesday, according to a forecast by the National Weather Service.

Severely cold conditions are expected to continue through next Saturday, according to the NWS forecast.

As the cold approaches, the NWS is reminding the public to protect the “four P’s:” People, plants, pipes and pets.
