It’s easy to find 2 new restaurants in Alliance. They’re next-door neighbors

Two much-awaited restaurants are opening side-by-side in far north Fort Worth — the same week.

Notable local burger and chicken restaurants also are opening in Arlington as businesses rush to debut before Independence Day holiday week.

A look at what’s new, all open or opening within the week:

Mister O1, Fort Worth

Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza, 2828 North Tarrant Parkway just west of Interstate 35W, is the newest Texas location for a Florida pizzeria that started 10 years ago in an 18-seat alcove inside an office building.

The Alliance-area location is the 29th overall and third in Tarrant County for Mister O1, named for founding chef Renato Viola’s O-1 work visa.

The signature pizzas are the spicy Calabrian salami “Star Luca” and four others that come in star shapes with ricotta-filled points. But the menu includes more than 20 traditional pizzas and calzones.

It’s due to open by midweek; 361-203-7394, misterO1 .com.

Urban Egg, Fort Worth

Urban Egg, 2828 North Tarrant Parkway one door west of Mister O1, is yet another better-breakfast Colorado chain, this one from Colorado Springs.

The Alliance-area restaurant is the company’s 10th and first in Texas.

Like the Snooze or Hash Kitchen chains, it blends flashy breakfast plates with boozy cocktails.

Notably, Urban Egg serves blue-corn chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, avocado toast with cotija and quinoa, bourbon-glazed bacon and cinnamon rolls with bacon jam.

It’s also due to open by midweek; 682-285-3447, urbanegg.com..

Mary Sue’s Chicken, Arlington

Mary Sue’s Chicken & Dough, 816 N. Collins St. across from AT&T Stadium, is a hot chicken and baked goods restaurant from the noted Eddie Deen barbecue family near Terrell.

The menu is simple: chicken tenders with Nashville spice or a spicy dry rub, with yeast rolls, special cinnamon rolls and a wide choice of flavored iced teas.

It’s open for lunch and dinner daily except Sunday; 817-261-5798, facebook.com.

Rodeo Goat, Arlington

Rodeo Goat, 333 E. Division St., is the 11th location for the gourmet burger restaurant that started near the Fort Worth Cultural District.

Rodeo Goat offers a choice of about 15 burgers plus two monthly specials that meet in a “battle of the burgers.” All burgers can be ordered with beef, turkey, chicken, a black-bean-lentil patty or a plant-based Impossible Meats patty.

The restaurant is on East Division Street at East Street, three blocks east of Center Street and two blocks north of Hurtado Barbecue.

It’s supposed to open by midweek; 817-898-4628, rodeogoat.com/arlington.
