Here’s a red-velvet Valentine breakfast at a Fort Worth-area restaurant Keith Lee loves

Now here’s a breakfast to love.

Dallas loves Breakfast Brothers, and so does Arlington, and now so does Dallas social media celebrity Keith Lee.

Lee named the breakfast diners to his list of “off the radar” restaurants for Valentine’s Day, although you’d have to go at breakfast or lunch.

Owner Rickey Booker won’t be off the radar much longer.

He’s opening his largest Breakfast Brothers at 400 E. Front St. in Arlington to go with the current location, 130 E. Bardin Road.

Here’s a best bet for breakfast or lunch Valentine’s Day or any day: a red velvet Belgian waffle with catfish or chicken. It’s big enough to share.

It’s one of several big sellers at Breakfast Brothers, touted by Mayor Jim Ross and now under construction in downtown Arlington.

The breakfast menu includes catfish or shrimp and grits, salmon bites, lamb chops, omelets and wings.

(Advice: Go early on weekends. Breakfast Brothers opens at 7 daily, with long lines forming by 9 on weekends.)

Both the breakfast and lunch menus are available all day. The lunch menu includes fried rice combos, collard greens, a lobster roll and lobster mac-and-cheese.

“I call it a non-traditional breakfast restaurant,” Booker said on a recent Eats Beat Live streaming show at star-telegram.com.

Breakfast Brothers started in 2017 as a late-night food truck outside his King of Diamonds nightclub. He turned it into a morning food empire and opened the Arlington restaurant in 2021.

He loves breakfast items like waffles and Cracker Barrel pancakes but wanted to offer more choices, he said.

So he opened restaurants offering lamb chops with eggs or catfish and waffles.

“I want your favorite breakfast item to be with your favorite entree,” he said.

The new Breakfast Brothers location in downtown Arlington joins an Urban Union development with Hurtado Barbecue, Cane Rosso and a forthcoming Rodeo Goat burgers.

Booker said he looked at the location and saw fans parking and walking from the restaurants to football and baseball games.

“Arlington gets behind local restaurants,” he said. “They support you. .... It’s amazing to know you have this kind of support.”

He has a streaming YouTube.com show, “In the Kitchen With the Breakfast Brothers.”

Breakfast Brothers is open for breakfast and lunch daily; 682-323-7584, or also in Dallas at 3704 W. Camp Wisdom Road and also as a take-out Breakfast Brothers Express kiosk, 921 W. Commerce St.; breakfastbrothers.com
