10-year anchor restaurant known for moonshine closes in West 7th area of Fort Worth

Mash’D, a 10-year anchor restaurant in the Artisan Circle shops off West Seventh Street, has closed, a spokeswoman for the landlord confirmed.

The restaurant, 2948 Crockett St., was founded in Frisco by the operators of TruFire restaurants and expanded to Fort Worth and to a San Antonio location, which remains open.

Mash’D was particularly known for brunch dishes such as “morning after” migas, and for a bar menu that originally included “moonshine” cocktails.

Mash’D survived a business downturn in Artisan Circle but closes just as traffic has picked up with the reopening of Terra Mediterranean, the opening of La Cabrona grill and Sunday brunch buffet and the opening of a new Terry Black’s Barbecue across West Seventh St.
