‘Day of the Dead’ restaurant/tequila bar comes back to life in downtown Fort Worth

Wild Salsa reopens in downtown Fort Worth

Hey, Bud! Is Wild Salsa ever reopening?

—So many readers, I’ve lost count

Done. Wild Salsa, a Day of the Dead-themed interior-Mexico restaurant and tequila bar at 300 Throckmorton St., has made an incredible comeback.

The restaurant was closed three years during the pandemic. Now, it’s open again, bringing life back to One City Place near Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth.

It’s known for the chicken tinga, enchiladas and shrimp or fish tacos, and maybe even more for the ice-cream paletas.

It’s open for dinner Tuesdays through Saturdays; wildsalsarestaurant.com.

Lonesome Dove for a Saturday steak lunch

Hey, Bud! We have company in town Saturday but not Sunday. Why isn’t there a really nice steakhouse open at lunch Saturday?

—Caller to 817-390-7538

Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, 2406 N. Main St. in the Stockyards, is the best bet for Saturday lunch.

In Southlake, Truluck’s Seafood & Crab, 1420 Plaza Place, now opens at midday Saturdays. Other nice restaurants open Saturdays at lunch include B&B Butchers and Hudson House in Fort Worth.

Hey, Bud! I saw your post that Soy Cowboy is about to open in Arlington. What is Soy Cowboy?

—Facebook message at facebook.com/diningguy

Soy Cowboy is an upscale Asian restaurant from the company behind B&B Butchers.

It’ll instantly be the nicest Asian restaurant in Tarrant County. Watch for it in late June inside the Loews Arlington Convention Center, 888 Nolan Ryan Expressway.
