Suburbs location of a Tex-Mex fave closing its doors after more than 20 years
Tex-Mex restaurant Pulido’s Kitchen & Cantina announced the closure of one of its locations Tuesday, July 14.
The Hurst location at 1224 Precinct Line Road will close on July 16 at 9 p.m. The restaurant’s other locations in Fort Worth, Willow Park and Eastland will remain open, the business said.
This location opened back in 2002, and according to previous reporting by the Star-Telegram, while it had a great turnout initially, it later struggled like many other businesses in the area.
“Serving the Hurst Community has been an honor, and we are incredibly grateful for every family, friend, neighbor, student, teacher and long time guest who made this location feel like home,” read the company’s social media announcement Tuesday. “Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your meals, memories and traditions.”
Pedro and Dionica Pulido opened the flagship restaurant in Fort Worth at 2900 Pulido St. near Interstate 30 nearly 60 years ago. It was acquired by Westland Hospitality in late 2023.
Westland Hospitality did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
