This Canadian dessert chain is opening its first café in North Texas

A popular Canadian dessert café is opening its first U.S. location right here in North Texas.

The D Spot Dessert Café will have its grand opening July 11 at 3432 E Hebron Pkwy #100 in Carrollton at 11 a.m.

The dessert chain has an expansive menu that includes cakes, crêpes, freshly made Belgium waffles, funnel cakes and hot and iced drinks. The chain is are also known for its milkshakes, which come in regular flavors like chocolate or vanilla, or other flavors like lotus cookie butter and matcha and vanilla ice cream.

The café also has savory items like one of Canada’s most famous dishes: Poutine, made with fries, gravy and cheese curds.

To celebrate the grand opening, D Spot is offering Buy One, Get One free deals on virgin mojitos, dirty sodas, strawberry banana waffles, crêpes, croffles (a hybrid of a croissant and a waffle), cheeseburgers and all poutine.

The company currently operates in five Canadian provinces and Georgia, Illinois and Tennessee. D Spot plans to e expand to other Texas cities like Houston in the near future.
