Celebrate Independence Day with these local freebies, deals and festive foods
Nothing celebrates the freedom of America more than free food.
For this year’s Fourth of July, North Texas restaurants are going big for America’s 250th birthday.
There are freebie offers, buy-one-get-one, treats for $2.50 or $17.76 meals deals. Here’s where to go.
Fort Worth restaurant deals
The first 250 guests at Curly’s Custard at 4017 Camp Bowie Blvd. will get a free Nathan’s quarter-pound hot dog. Limit one dog per customer.
From July 1 through July 6, Del Frisco’s Grille at 154 E. 3rd St. is offering a Fourth of July special with wagyu hot dog and a 4-ounce burger for $25. Add a draft beer for just $5.
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse
Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse at 812 Main St. is offering a limited time holiday menu with tempura lobster tail corn dog for $22, Japanese A5 sirloin with lobster scampi for $95 or lobster creamed corn for $34.
On July 4, Little Woodrow’s at 2833 Morton St. will offer $2.50 select drafts. And through September 6, there will be limited-time dishes: $12 smashed burger wagyu bacon sliders and $12 electric cherry vodka limeade.
Though this is not necessarily a “deal,” it’s worth mentioning. Bowie House at 3700 Camp Bowie Blvd. will offer a $250 Declaration Dog from July 2 to July 4. The hot dog is a wagyu premium beef hot dog with smoked mustard crème fraîche, pickle and onion relish, Osteria Reserve caviar in a brioche bun.
Chain restaurant deals
On July 4 only, loyalty members can get a Whopper Jr. for $2.50 through the Burger King app or Burger King website. The limited-edition Firecracker Cookie Pie is also available while supplies last.
On July 4th, 7Brew is offering “Fill a Tray” where customers can get four medium drinks for $17.
Additionally, a secret menu item, the Red, White & Brew Chiller is available.
Until July 4, customers who buy one small or medium sub can get a second for just $2.50. This excludes Steak & Cheese Melts and Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket subs.
From July 1 until July 4, active-duty military members and veterans, with valid military or veteran identification, can receive a free Stars & Stripes Sprinkle Cookie from participating Great American Cookies locations.
For the Fourth of July, customers can get three gallons of freshly brewed tea for $17.76. This deal lasts from July 1 though July 4. But also, until Labor Day, the tea chain is serving a limited-time Blue Razzler Energy Refresher topped with vanilla cold foam and red, white, and blue sprinkles in a commemorative America’s 250th cup.
On July 4, customers can get a free original glazed doughnut in store, one treat per guest. They are also selling the original glazed dozens for just $2.50 with a purchase of any other dozen or 16-count Minis from July 2 to July 5.
The red, white and blue Liberte Tarte is back at La Madeleine. The tart is filled with vanilla pastry cream and topping of glazed raspberries, blueberries and whipped cream for only $2.79. This is not just a Fourth of July deal because the dessert is available until August 7.
Bundtastic Rewards members can earn 250 bonus points on any purchase July 3 through 5. They also have Independence Day themed flavors with their signature red velvet and S’mores made with graham streusel and HERSHEY’s chocolate chips.
After 4 p.m. from July 1 until July 5, customers can get Kids Meals for $2.50. Chop Rewards loyalty program members can also get $2.50 off any menu item with promo code FUELTHE4TH for online or in-app purchases.
A limited-time America $2.50 menu is available until July 12. For $2.50 each, customers can get the Red, White & Blue Slush Float, Jr. Double Cheeseburger, All-American Hot Dog, and medium onion rings.
Whataburger is offering a free National Park adventure. From July 1 to July 8, Whataburger customers who purchase a Whatameal with a Coca-Cola beverage through the restaurant’s app will be entered for a chance to win a National Park adventure at a park of their choice within Whataburger’s 17-state footprint.
The grand prize package includes round-trip coach airfare for up to six travelers, one rental vehicle, four nights of hotel accommodations, a visit to one national park, a national parks essentials kit and special Whataburger merchandise.
Also, two runners-up will each win free Whataburger for a year.
