Here’s where to get great Mexican food in Fort Worth, according to locals
Fort Worth locals say that these Mexican restaurants are ones they go back to over and over again — and they’re not Joe T.’s, Pulido’s or The Original.
I’ve been active on Nextdoor, a social media app designed for neighborhoods, asking users about their favorite restaurants and updating them on all things dining related.
Members have been generous with recommendations. I’ve already rounded up which Italian restaurants locals love. And I also put together a list of affordable meals around town. But this time, I’m going to tell you about which Mexican restaurants people suggest.
Favorite local spots for Mexican
La Rueda

What is it? A “no frills” Tex-Mex restaurant with steak, hamburgers and other American options. Breakfast dishes include chilaquiles, pancakes, pork chop and eggs and fajita omelettes. The main menu has enchiladas, chile rellenos and affordable steak dinners.
