Deals and freebies to celebrate National Hamburger Day in Fort Worth

This week we’re celebrating National Hamburger Day. So for those who don’t like cheese, May 28 is your day.

National Burger Day wraps up National Burger Month and marks the beginning of the summer grilling season.

Now, a point of order: a hamburger cannot be a cheeseburger, but a cheeseburger can be a hamburger. Are you picking up what I’m putting down?

So if you are someone who firmly believes in eating your hamburger with a melty slice of American cheese, technically, you can still get some deals in honor of National Hamburger Day. However, there still is a designated National Cheeseburger Day on September 18.

• From May 25 to May 31

Shake Shack

• From May 25 to May 31
• A free ShackBurger with a $10 minimum purchase
• To redeem, use the code “FREEBURGER” on the Shack App, online or at a kiosk in-store

Sonic

• Until May 31
• Free burger with a $5 minimum purchase
• To redeem, become a Sonic Rewards member by downloading the Sonic app. Use reward coupon from the Sonic app by ordering online for pickup at your local Sonic store.
