Torchy’s is adding a new menu item for a limited time — and it’s not a taco

Torchy’s Tacos is known for its delectable cup of queso. But now, there’s a new vessel for the liquid gold.

The Austin-based chain is releasing a new menu item for a limited time : nachos, smothered in queso.

Torchy’s green chili queso is loved so much, it was featured in the 2023 Best of Austin awards. Aside from Torchy’s menu full of wild taco combinations, the queso stands as a popular choice for most customers.

The company’s “queso makers” were the brains behind the new innovation, according to a news release.

The restaurant already offers queso-smothered tater tots, but this is the first time Torchy’s has offered nachos.

What is on Torchy’s nachos?

The new, limited-time Torchy’s nachos will feature layers of the taco joint’s famous green chile queso, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream.

To elevate the nachos, customers can also choose to top them with fajita chicken or beef, green chile pork or brisket.

The dish will be available as a large family-style sharing plate for $10.99. During “hooky hour,” — Torchy’s weekday happy hour from 2 to 5 p.m. — nachos will be offered in a half-size.

How long can you get Torchy’s Tacos nachos for?

Starting now, customers can get a load of the limited-time Torchy’s Tacos nachos.

The news release did not say how long the dish will be around for, so get your fix soon.
