3 restaurants closed, ‘half-alive’ roach found in latest Fort Worth inspections

Three Fort Worth restaurants were temporarily closed, and rodents and roaches were found at others during the latest round of city health inspections, according to the inspection reports.

The reports compiled by the Star-Telegram contain health violations and the results of 255 inspections from Jan. 25 through Feb. 7.

Fort Worth’s restaurant inspections function on a demerit system: Zero demerits is considered a perfect score. Restaurants with over 30 demerits are required to fix the worst issues immediately and remedy the rest within 48 hours.

Three restaurants were closed for serious violations:

  • Bros @ The Kitchen, located at 1500 Everman Parkway, had a score of 16. The restaurant was closed due to a wastewater issue, according to the report. The establishment later underwent a re-inspection, where inspectors noted the wastewater issue had been corrected, and the restaurant reopened. On re-inspection, the eatery had a score of 16.
  • Delicias Aguascalientes, located at 2817 Vaughn Blvd., had a score of 23. The restaurant was closed due to a lack of hot water. On re-inspection, the score did not change.
  • Cici’s Pizza #481, located at 950 N. Beach St., had a score of 16. The restaurant was closed due to a lack of hot water.

No food establishment scored over 30 demerits, but three scored high numbers:

  • Rico’s Paleteria, located at 4852 South Freeway, had a score of 27.
  • Thai Barn, located at 2730 Western Center Blvd., had a score of 26. On re-inspection, the restaurant had a score of 17.
  • Hacienda Buffet Antigua, located at 1950 Menefee Ave. had a score of 25.

Seven establishments had issues with rodents or roaches:

  • Hooked On Sushi, located at 4750 Bryant Irvin Road, had a score of 21. Inspectors observed a dead roach on a fan in the back of a kitchen.
  • Szechuan Cityview Restaurant, located at 4750 Bryant Irvin Road, had a score of 17. Inspectors noted multiple dead roaches and one that was “half alive,” according to the inspection report.
  • Mariscos Nuevo Nayarit, located at 601 W. Northside Drive, had a score of 23. Inspectors found one dead roach in the facility.
  • Takara Ramen Bento Box & Poke, located at 5313 Golden Triangle Blvd., had a score of 20. Inspectors saw one roach on the wall and noted the presence of household roach killers, which are not approved for use in food facilities, according to the inspection report.
  • El Minero, located at 4200 South Freeway, had a score of 9. Two cockroaches were found in a mop-sink area.
  • Noodles @ Boba Tea House, located at 7355 N. Beach St, had a score of 17. Inspectors found roaches in the restaurant and also noted the presence of roach killers not approved for use in food facilities.
  • Ramsey Grocery, located at 1201 E. Ramsey Ave., had a score of 15. Inspectors found “evidence of rodents” and rodent droppings in the food establishment, as well as the presence of open rodent traps, which are not approved for use in food facilities. On re-inspection, the score did not change.

Here are the inspection scores and violations for restaurants within the city limits of Fort Worth for Jan. 25th- Feb. 7th 2026. Scores are based on a demerit system. When the total exceeds 30, the restaurant must take immediate corrective action on all identified critical violations, then has 48 hours to initiate corrective action on all other violations. To search the restaurant inspections, type in a keyword or restaurant name. You can also sort by score.
