Need food for the storm? Consider buying from these Fort Worth restaurants

With the first winter storm of 2026 anticipated to bring 1 to 3 inches of sleet and snow as well as ice, North Texans will be cooped up at home until it’s safe to drive again.

While it is up to local restaurants on whether they want to remain open in the inclement weather, there is no doubt this weekend will be slow for local businesses.

“This coming weekend your favorite neighborhood restaurant is facing 2-3 days of decreased sales, few costumes and potential closure for weather,” Dallas food influencer daniel_eating_dallas wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday, Jan. 22. “Please consider stopping in today or tomorrow if possible.”

Some restaurants are even offering customers to buy groceries in bulk from them to help with sales.

So before we all buckle down, consider dining out or buying groceries from a local restaurant. Here are a few examples of where you can do so.
